Welcome to EcoPower Sports, where passion for sports and the great outdoors meets innovation and sustainability. EcoPower Sports was born out of my personal journey and a desire to create high-quality gear that supports an active lifestyle and appreciates the importance of durable, long-lasting products. Our products are designed for people of all ages, but we especially have those over 35 years old in mind, as our pledge is to contribute to keeping them active and engaged in their favorite activities.
OUR MISSION
My name is Joel Bernardes, and I have always had a deep love for both sports and nature. This passion, combined with my professional background as a filmmaker, led me to establish EcoPower Sports. In 2004, I moved to the UK and pursued my artistic dreams, eventually studying Film and Television at the University of the Arts London (LCC). Before this, I worked extensively as an actor and theatre director.
The turning point for me came during a holiday when I broke my metatarsal and had to wear an orthopaedic boot for seven months. This injury was a catalyst for change, giving me the time and motivation to develop an idea that had been brewing for years. I found comfort in an ankle support that I later decided to improve and manufacture, focusing on material quality and innovative details. This experience inspired me to learn the process of creating an online brand, ultimately leading to the birth of EcoPower Sports.
We are proud to have provided thousands of ankle and knee supports across the UK and the EU, helping individuals like me feel better, stay pain-free, and remain active in this wonderful world.

At EcoPower Sports, our mission is to produce high-quality, innovative, and practical sports and outdoor gear. We aim to make our products accessible to everyone, offering them at reasonable prices while inspiring people to engage in sports and outdoor activities. Our commitment extends beyond just providing excellent products; we strive to minimize our environmental impact by using recyclable materials wherever possible.
Environmental Commitment
We recognize the negative environmental impact the sports and outdoor industry has had over the years. While it is not always feasible to use 100% recyclable materials, we are dedicated to continuous improvement.
